Beginning January 13th, we will be implementing a new Bullying Prevention Program. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a researched based program developed to help individuals, classrooms, schools, parents and communities prevent bullying in our schools. This video is just a glimpse into the program!
There is also a door decorating contest for each homeroom. The winning homeroom will receive a pizza party! The theme is bullying prevention, no name calling or celebrating kindness! If you would like to post your pictures to our social media, use @pmsdragons on Twitter or #bekindatpepperell.
Congratulations to our 2017 Spelling Bee winner Miss Kaitlyn Morgan. Also, congrats to our runner-up Trisha Dobson. Kaitlyn will advance to the county Spelling Bee on February 8,2017 to represent Pepperell Middle and Trisha will be our alternate.
Every student who participated in the spelling bee did an outstanding job this morning. We were all beyond impressed with their spelling abilities. Great work students and teachers!
Student Council hosted a Lip Sync Battle as one of the Can-A-Thon rewards this year. Take a look at some of the great acts along with some special guests!
During a trip to Washington, D.C. over Thanksgiving break, some of our students were able to participate in a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. Check out the video of this great honor!
Update on the Can-A-Thon...
Congratulations to Coach Brandon Parker's 7th grade Homeroom! They collected over 1,200 cans for the Can-A-Thon and will receive a Pizza Party! Coach Parker will get a day off for his efforts as well!
Even though the 7th grade homeroom had the most cans, 8th grade - District 21 brought in the most cans overall, so they will get an afternoon on the hill! Congratulations and way to go, District 21!
Thanks to everyone at PMS that contributed and helped out with the Can-A-Thon! We were able to raise 12,735 cans to help feed the hungry. The entire Pepperell community raised over 40,000 cans this year, contributing to the - over 100,000 cans raised for the Salvation Army. What an awesome community effort!

Collecting Box Tops is a very easy way to help our school! You might think they are only worth 10 cents, but when collected by many, they really add up! This was with only a small portion of our school population participating. Just think what we could do if everyone clipped those little rectangles! You can find Box Tops on thousands of your favorite products, from cereals to Avery Office Products to Hanes T-shirts to printer paper.
